About the role
Role Overview
You’ll be an experienced TypeScript Developer (AI Training) evaluating and critiquing AI-generated TypeScript code. The goal is to ensure the code meets standards for type safety, scalability, and modern best practices—not to build a product, but to shape the “intelligence” behind AI coding tools.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate AI-generated TypeScript code for:
- correctness
- type safety
- adherence to modern best practices
- Solve complex problems using idiomatic TypeScript (e.g., generics, utility types, and modern patterns/frameworks)
- Provide detailed, structured feedback explaining architectural decisions and type logic
- Identify and explain weaknesses in AI output (subtle type issues to larger design flaws) and how to fix them
- Write clear technical summaries that help AI understand the reasoning behind strong type system design
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Requirements
- Deep expertise in TypeScript, including static typing, generics, interfaces, conditional types, and utility types
- 3–5 years hands-on experience with modern frontend/full-stack frameworks such as:
- React, Angular, Next.js, Node.js, or Nuxt.js
- Strong architectural instincts (understanding why something works)
- Excellent written communication for explaining complex technical decisions
- Self-directed reliability working without day-to-day oversight
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, model evaluation, or AI training workflows
- Familiarity with code review or technical documentation
- Background in developer tooling, type system design, or compiler theory
- Prior freelance/contract development experience
Contract & Location
- Type: Hourly contract
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
- Location: Fully remote
- Work style: flexible and asynchronous, with potential for ongoing extension
