Role Overview

Analyze requirements and design documents, build and maintain manual and automated test cases, and support end-to-end quality testing across functional, regression, and performance needs. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD and coordinate with developers and DevOps to ensure defects are tracked and resolved.

Responsibilities

• Review complex requirements/design documents and create detailed step-by-step manual test cases.
• Execute manual test cases and document actual results; report anomalies to the defect tracking system.
• Develop new automation scripts and update existing ones for newly added functionality.
• Execute automated test scripts and report results, including failures.
• Perform Load/Performance testing by running load test scripts and generating execution reports.
• Track defects from creation to closure, write detailed defect descriptions, and work with developers to reproduce issues.
• Deploy software to test environments; monitor server logs to identify errors/unexpected log entries.
• Participate in/facilitate test case peer review meetings and provide feedback to ensure coverage of client requirements and test conditions.
• Assist the test lead with release test planning (RTM), maintain regression test database, and produce test reports for each testing phase.
• Support internal quality assurance checks on deliverables to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to client standards.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing and delivery.
• Collaborate with DevOps to ensure seamless automation across build and deployment processes.
• Provide assistance to business analysts (functional requirements) and developers (technical requirements).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related); 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years total IT experience, primarily as a software test engineer.
• 3+ years as an Automation Test Engineer / SDET / QA Engineer.
• Proven test automation experience with Selenium and/or Playwright.
• Experience with TestNG and/or JUnit, Cucumber, framework creation, JavaScript coding, and API testing.
• Strong knowledge of Software Testing Lifecycle and testing methodologies.
• Ability to analyze requirements/designs and create test cases and automation scripts.
• Ability to execute tests, document results, identify defects, and create test reports.
• Experience with Quality Center (or similar test management tools).
• Experience with UFT or similar automation scripting tools (e.g., Selenium).
• Ability to design/develop/maintain automated test scripts/frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Basic knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with configuration management and version control tools including Jira and/or Subversion (Atlassian suite).
• Excellent organizational, presentation, and business analysis skills.
• Knowledge of SDLC.

• Basic knowledge of LoadRunner.
• Basic knowledge of VB Scripting.
• Experience creating/editing technical documents and user manuals.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, shifting-priority environment.
