Test Automation Engineer

Role overview

Bright Vision Technologies is hiring a Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks for enterprise web, API, and distributed systems. The engineer will partner with development teams to expand test coverage and enable confident, continuous software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks for web, API, and distributed systems
• Expand test coverage in collaboration with development teams
• Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Support risk-based testing, exploratory testing, and continuous testing in Agile environments
• Debug issues and improve software quality through strong analytical troubleshooting
• Write and maintain clear documentation for testing and automation
• Validate data using SQL for test/data verification

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of QA automation experience
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
• Hands-on API automation experience (REST APIs)
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and the SDLC
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD
• Solid SQL skills for data validation
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred qualifications

• Performance testing tools: JMeter, Gatling, k6
• Containerized test environments with Docker and Kubernetes
• Cloud testing platforms: BrowserStack or Sauce Labs
• BDD frameworks: Cucumber, SpecFlow
• Security testing fundamentals (e.g., OWASP, basic penetration testing)

Salary

• $100,000–$150,000 annually
