Role Overview

540 is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to support the DoW in building a next-generation Air Force aircraft maintenance application. The team designs and implements automated tests to ensure the platform performs reliably as it supports Air Force maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

Own and manage development-level testing process and outcomes across the platform
Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for:
- APIs
- Microservices
- User interfaces
Develop and execute integration, functional, and regression tests for distributed systems
Build and maintain automated API tests and validate system integrations
Work closely with engineers, architects, and product stakeholders to improve test coverage and ensure reliability across distributed services

Requirements

U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (per client requirements)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field (preferred)
Ability to operate as a contract resource with 40 hours/week for an initial engagement

Contract Details

Contract engagement (initial 12 months)
40 hours per week
Remote within the continental United States (East Coast working hours)
Potential conversion to full-time may exist, but is not guaranteed and depends on program needs
