Role: Telehealth Medical Doctor (Remote)

Part-time, sessional role (self-employed or contractor) with 5–10 sessions/week, flexible including evenings and weekends.

What you’ll do

• Synchronous telehealth consultations: Run 15-minute video consults live and on time for BMI 25–27 patients.
• Clinical documentation: Write clear, defensible notes so another clinician can take over follow-up without needing to ask.
• Independent clinical decision-making: Prescribe, redirect, or decline based on clinical merit.
• Off-label/off-unlicensed governance: Conduct consent conversations and produce documentation meeting GMC good practice for unlicensed/off-label prescribing.
• Shared decision making + verification: Blend patient involvement with independent clinical verification where possible.
• Safety screening & escalation: Screen for eating disorder risk, pregnancy, and contraindications; escalate within 24 hours.
• Audit & peer review: Participate in case review and act on audit findings.
• Feedback loop: Flag edge cases and protocol gaps to the Medical Lead and Clinical Product team.

Requirements (Need to Have)

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise, on the GP Register, revalidation current, and no impediments.
• Strong off-label prescribing knowledge (GMC Good practice in prescribing and managing medicines).
• Telehealth/remote consultation experience.
• Excellent documentation skills producing robust, defensible clinical notes.
• Must be credentialed and live (GMC, DBS, induction, and ClinicOS protocol sign-off).

KPIs you’ll be measured on

• On-time, no missed appointments (consults held exactly when booked).
• Throughput with quality: 15-minute consults held to time and documentation audit pass rate 95%+.
• Defensibility and handover quality: notes allow another clinician to take over follow-up without questions.
• Decision quality: prescriptions for the BMI 25–27 cohort include documented comorbidity, off-label rationale, and recorded consent.
• Escalation discipline: red flags escalated within 24 hours.
