Telecommunications Project Manager

Location: Remote (must be within the United States) | Travel: up to 10%

Role overview

Lead and manage telecommunications projects from discovery through delivery, coordinating with customers and internal stakeholders. The role requires strong telecom domain expertise—especially T-Mobile “Magenta” build experience—and deep project management across scope, schedule, cost, resources, risk, quality, and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Interface with the customer daily
• Define and manage project scope, schedule, cost, resources, risk, quality, and deliverables with customers and client management
• Forecast and actualize project financials and maintain a client Site Tracker
• Coordinate staffing needs: negotiate for personnel support, identify gaps, and recruit additional staff/consultants when needed
• Set and manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders
• Identify and resolve issues/conflicts within the project team
• Develop and deliver progress reporting, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
• Perform risk analysis and manage contingency planning
• Proactively manage changes to scope; prevent and handle potential project crises
• Define project success criteria and ensure they are communicated throughout the project lifecycle
• Build and grow business relationships critical to project success
• Conduct project reviews and produce recommendations on what worked/what didn’t
• Collect and share best practices and tools for project execution/management
• Follow client Information Security policies and guidelines, including ISMS (ISO 27001)

Requirements

• 10+ years of telecom experience including project management, site acquisition, construction, integration, and optimization process knowledge
• T-Mobile Magenta experience
• OSHA 10 certified prior to start date
• Strong safety focus and customer focus
• Strong project management fundamentals across scope/schedule/cost/quality/risk/resources/delivery
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to management
• Financial knowledge: budgets, margin, invoicing, revenue recognition
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Projects)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams/committees
