Technology Design Consulting Lead - Remote

Role Overview

Lead end-to-end technology design consulting engagements for hospitality and multi-family clients. You’ll blend user-centered design leadership with technical architecture and consulting acumen to deliver scalable, technology-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements covering technology design, plan reviews, product/service innovation, and experience strategy.
• Define and oversee technology architecture, interaction design frameworks, and design systems aligned to client goals and constraints.
• Guide clients through discovery, ideation, prototyping, and implementation, combining human-centered methods with technology evaluation and roadmapping.
• Lead and collaborate with cross-functional consulting teams (designers, technologists, strategists, PMs), fostering innovation and delivery excellence.
• Conduct technical/design reviews, risk assessments, and quality assurance across multiple concurrent projects.
• Develop proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and executive presentations to win and expand business.
• Stay current on emerging technologies (e.g., WiFi/Networks, Access Control, CCTV, Audio Visual, Smart IoT) and apply them to design-led outcomes.
• Partner with C-suite and senior stakeholders to secure buy-in and measure impact using clear success metrics.
• Contribute to internal practice development (thought leadership, methodology refinement, IP creation, and sales enablement).
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
• Review design drawing change logs and respond to RFPs with urgency.

Requirements

• 5+ years progressive experience in technology consulting and/or sales engineering, specifically related to Hospitality and Multi-family technologies.
• Proven track record leading complex technology + design initiatives with measurable business outcomes (adoption, revenue, operational efficiency).
• Strong project management skills to ensure client deliverables are on time.
• Portfolio demonstrating work across digital products/services/platforms or experience ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of modern technology stacks for hospitality and MDU environments.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Smartsheets, and Excel (plus notetaking tools).
• Ability to bridge design and engineering (translate between creative vision and technical feasibility).
