Technical Project Manager

Role Overview

Technical Project Manager (Remote) at an established AmLaw 100 law firm. You’ll lead end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives across custom .NET applications, Azure data/analytics, and AI agent rollouts—translating between engineers and business/practice stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery: scoping, planning, execution, risk management, and go-live across application development, data platform, and AI initiatives.
• Work with engineering leads to create realistic plans and timelines, track dependencies, and raise technical risk in a way leadership can act on.
• Partner with practice groups, administrative departments, and IT to manage expectations and drive adoption of new tools (including AI-enabled workflows in Copilot, Teams, and Office).
• Run Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and maintain delivery cadence.
• Maintain project documentation including RAID logs and provide status reporting using tools such as Azure DevOps.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing technical/software delivery projects end-to-end, ideally involving data platform or AI/automation work.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem (e.g., Azure, .NET, Power Platform) to hold credible technical conversations with engineers.
• Experience with Agile delivery using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Strong stakeholder management, translating between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience managing risk, scope, and timelines across multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to present status and risk to senior leadership.
• PMP / CSM (or equivalent project management certification / comparable experience).

Nice to Have

• Delivery experience in legal, financial services, or other regulated professional services.
• Exposure to data governance or AI governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with change management for enterprise tool adoption.
