Technical Program Manager

Role overview

Technical Program Manager / Associate Principal Engineer (Technical Program Manager) for long-term remote work. You will drive end-to-end technical program management across multiple cross-functional programs—from conception and design through development and delivery of tested, usable prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical program management across multiple cross-functional programs (engineering, business, product, design).
• Identify and manage scope, constraints, dependencies, risks, and timelines across programs.
• Coordinate with Scrum Masters to support complex transformation programs by coaching on client tools, frameworks, and DevSecOps delivery processes.
• Proactively surface technical, procedural, legal, logistical, and communications challenges; partner with leads to mitigate risks.
• Facilitate daily/weekly meetings and coordinate communications across internal and external teams, including upwards communication to leadership.
• Shape and deliver on the product roadmap; switch between strategic and tactical work to meet technical and business goals.
• Manage multiple concurrent technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and strong outcomes.
• Monitor development progress (status, issues, timelines, risks) and communicate transparently with senior stakeholders.
• Foster Agile methodologies and practices; apply SAFe for organizational delivery.
• Dive into technical details including infrastructure and dataset dependencies and integration testing requirements prior to deployment.

Requirements

• 10–15 years maximum experience; 14+ years work experience with 3–5 years minimum as a Technical Program Manager or Technical Delivery Lead (or equivalent).
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps suite for streamlining Agile execution.
• SAFe experience.
• Strong technical leadership and excellent verbal/written communication.
• Deep understanding of SDLC and a track record of shipping software efficiently (difference between building vs. shipping).
• Proven leadership delivering complex technical projects and driving transformation (e.g., Agile adoption).
• Quantitative mindset, strong judgment, ability to connect dots across workstreams and identify critical dependencies.
• Strong analytical abilities and design skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior development experience (added advantage).
• Experience with object-oriented modeling and/or APIs & web services, middleware, databases, and data mining systems.
• Experience in CPG delivery teams or with a top-tier consulting firm.
