About the role
Role Overview
The Technical Program Manager is responsible for end-to-end visibility across Thryv’s technology and business applications portfolio, ensuring leadership always has accurate project status, timelines, and dependencies. The role owns the portfolio-level reporting infrastructure used to support informed prioritization and sequencing decisions across active programs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain comprehensive, real-time visibility into all active projects across the portfolio, keeping status, timelines, and dependencies accurate.
- Track progress vs. projected timelines, identify schedule slippage risk early, and drive corrective action with engineering/technical leads.
- Map cross-project and cross-team technical dependencies to uncover sequencing conflicts, resource contention, and delivery bottlenecks before they impact outcomes.
- Establish and maintain a consistent portfolio reporting cadence, producing dashboards and status updates for portfolio health.
- Translate scope and requirements from engineering, technical leads, and product/system stakeholders into actionable execution plans and sequencing within program management tooling.
- Identify portfolio risks (schedule, resourcing, technical delivery), escalate, and drive resolution with leadership.
- Orchestrate prioritization and sequencing conversations across multiple concurrent initiatives to reflect current business priorities and technical realities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) or equivalent experience.
- PMP certification (or equivalent program management certification), required.
- 2+ years of related experience, required.
Preferred / Nice-to-Haves
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Proven proficiency in portfolio and program management methodologies, including dependency mapping, risk identification, and execution tracking.
- Working knowledge of portfolio management and project tracking tooling.
- Knowledge of Agile/iterative delivery frameworks to interpret sprint-level execution and variance.
- Technical fluency to understand software development concepts and discuss delivery risks with engineering leaders.
- Ability to facilitate cross-functional prioritization without direct authority and drive alignment through corrective action.

- Travel: less than 5%.
