Technical Program Manager, Service Infrastructure

Role Overview

Technical Program Manager (Service Infrastructure) at Stripe, driving large-scale technical programs across multiple engineering organizations. You’ll focus on improving the internal platforms that power Stripe’s products, working closely with engineering and product leadership.

Responsibilities

• Identify and address pain points in Stripe teams’ infrastructure usage and develop cross-domain solutions.

• Help define the frameworks, async platforms, and tooling used to write and operate Stripe products.
• Partner with Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, Engineers, and other TPMs to scope and drive large migration programs to completion.
• Shape technical design by predicting roadblocks, evaluating trade-offs, and collaborating with engineers.
• Build and iterate on program management techniques, frameworks, and KPIs with clear success criteria.
• Strengthen execution and delivery practices across engineering teams; provide training where needed.
• Influence peers and stakeholders, build consensus in ambiguous situations, and operationalize cross-functional programs.
• Use data and knowledge to inform strategic decisions at an engineering leadership level.
• Publish widely circulated plans to improve consistency, clarity, and alignment across teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or technical program management.
• Experience with developer products and/or open-source projects.
• Experience in distributed systems, software libraries/frameworks, and service-related infrastructure (truncated in posting).
