Role Overview

Technical Program Manager (Fully Remote, United States)

Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact AI programmes in a large-scale infrastructure environment. You will translate strategic goals into structured delivery plans and drive execution through scoping, alignment, governance, production deployment, and measurable impact.

Responsibilities

Translate high-level AI and automation ambitions into delivery plans with owners, timelines, success criteria, and decision gates
Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, operations, and third-party partners
Proactively surface, escalate, and drive resolution of blockers and risks
Ensure solutions are adopted and operationally ready for real users (adoption, usability, and readiness are core success measures)
Own delivery for strategic AI/automation initiatives across complex, multi-team environments
- Define programme plans, milestones, dependencies, and risk identification
- Hold stakeholders accountable for outcomes (not activities)
Embed governance into every programme, including:
- Validation frameworks for AI-driven workflows
- Human review checkpoints
- Rollback capability
Define and report impact using KPIs such as:
- Manual effort reduction
- Cycle time improvement
- Error rate performance
- Communicate outcomes to senior leadership

Requirements

Proven programme management rigor with multiple workstreams and cross-functional accountability
Experience delivering internal tools/platforms/automation systems that teams actually adopt
Understanding of scaling: the difference between shipping vs shipping something that works at scale in real use
Working knowledge of AI/ML integration into operational workflows
- Meaningfully discuss data quality, model outputs, automation boundaries, and where human oversight belongs
- Know where to place human review gates and how to validate outputs before production
- Understand when full automation is appropriate vs when it introduces unacceptable risk
Technical fluency to drive decisions with engineering teams (without writing code)
- Comfortable discussing APIs, data pipelines, integrations, and deployment architecture

Nice-to-Haves / Ideal Standouts

End-to-end ownership of AI/ML initiatives (problem framing through production deployment and iteration)
Product ownership experience (requirements, backlog, trade-offs, iterative delivery based on user feedback)
Familiarity with production data validation and cross-system consistency challenges
Experience with infrastructure lifecycle programmes (design, deployment, provisioning, operations at scale)
Phased rollout experience (pilot → promotion criteria → scaling)
