About the role
Role Overview
Technical Program Manager: Platform Deployments at Simplesense. You will develop, configure, and deploy the Installation Resilience Platform across multiple Department of Defense installations, owning program deliverables, schedules, budgets, and execution.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer requirements into actionable plans
- Partner with internal teams (Strategy, Product, Engineering Development, Operations Capability) and external stakeholders to define and deliver projects
- Balance deadlines, budgets, and capacity using a pragmatic approach
- Track and drive projects (including subcontractor work) to completion
- Identify prioritization and staffing constraints and work with leadership to resolve them
- Manage risks across a portfolio of projects and initiatives
- Provide formal program status updates including schedules, budgets, and risks
- Support continuous improvement with the Staff Technical Program Manager
- Orchestrate program-level ceremonies for cross-team dependency resolution
- Maintain customer relationships to ensure shared understanding
- Represent the company with customers, partners, and contractors as required
Work Model / Location / Travel
- Prefer candidates in Denver, CO; San Antonio, TX; or Brooklyn, NY; remote talent also considered
- On-site: 2–4 days/month for locals
- Travel: up to 8 one-week trips/year for deployment site visits and program/customer/company meetings
What Success Looks Like
- 30 days: Onboard and learn company processes
- 60 days: Understand program scope/workflow and suggest improvements
- 90 days: Assume responsibility for delivering the program
Requirements
- 5+ years managing project delivery with demonstrated success
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Asana, MS Project
- Experience using project communication tools such as Slack, MS Teams
- Experience using documentation tools such as Confluence, Google Workspace
- Extensive experience managing multiple concurrent interrelated projects, preferably in an enterprise software environment
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain a DoD NIPR network account and Common Access Card (CAC)
- Ability to obtain/hold a Secret Clearance
- Travel up to 8 times/year
Preferred Qualifications
- Based in Denver, CO; San Antonio, TX; or Brooklyn, NY
- Demonstrated ability translating between waterfall and Agile models
- “T-shaped” profile: experience in many areas, with depth in one or more of:
- Networking Development
- Software Development
- Cybersecurity and/or outage monitoring
