Role overview
Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Money-as-a-Service (MaaS) at Stripe. You will lead complex, cross-functional technical programs spanning engineering, product, and teams such as finance, legal, compliance, and risk.
Responsibilities
- Drive functional and technical delivery of key team and org-wide initiatives.
- Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define, scope, and execute large programs.
- Develop and iterate on program management techniques, frameworks, and KPIs with clear success criteria.
- Improve team communication and operating mechanisms to boost productivity and efficiency.
- Produce high-quality written proposals, communications, and documentation.
- Use data and accumulated knowledge to inform strategic decisions at the engineering leadership level.
- Create and distribute program plans to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment across teams.
- Influence peers and leaders to build consensus and navigate ambiguity.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, and/or technical program management.
- Strong analytical skills; can synthesize complex information and make recommendations.
- Proven ability to run program management across the full software development lifecycle (kick-off to launch).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong stakeholder and senior-leadership relationship-building.
- Ability to drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions.
- Experience leading large-scale efforts across multiple teams, functions, and time zones with a high degree of autonomy.
- Ability to understand how product/platform functionality comes together to deliver user value and proactively identify/mitigate delivery risks.
