About the role
Role Overview
Technical Program Manager driving delivery of complex fintech initiatives in a remote-first, fast-paced environment. You will lead cross-functional programs to align business objectives with technical execution, working closely with Engineering, Product, Compliance, Operations, Risk/Security, and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple technical programs and projects across Engineering and Product.
- Define, manage, and monitor scope, milestones, timelines, dependencies, risks, and success metrics.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration (Engineering, Product, Compliance, Risk, Security, Operations, and external partners).
- Facilitate technical and business discussions, document key decisions, and keep stakeholders aligned.
- Establish governance, executive reporting, and communication strategies for transparency/accountability.
- Track program performance via KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics; drive continuous improvement.
- Support software development and release cycles (deployment planning, change management, production readiness).
- Collaborate with third-party vendors, financial institutions, and technology partners for integrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Systems/Business (or related).
- 4–7 years in Technical Program Management/Technical Project Management (or similar).
- 2+ years supporting fintech initiatives (banking, payments, trading platforms, digital assets, or financial services).
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery.
- Experience managing large-scale projects involving APIs, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and software integrations.
- Working knowledge of fintech compliance/regulatory frameworks (KYC, AML, customer risk management, related controls).
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical, organizational, problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with project/collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Asana.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with embedded finance and/or cryptocurrency or trading platforms.
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Risk management practices and relevant certifications (PMP, PgMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, Agile).
- Experience in high-growth startups or rapidly evolving fintech environments.
