About the role
Role Overview
Technical Program Manager III (Remote) at Switch. You will lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale (hyperscale) data center construction programs, ensuring execution is on schedule, within scope, and aligned with Switch standards.
Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of hyperscale data center programs from pre-construction through commissioning and handover
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones
- Track scope, schedule, and cost performance; maintain reporting dashboards
- Identify risks early; maintain program risk registers and drive mitigation to resolution
- Run change control for scope, cost, and schedule impacts
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and design intent
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals, field changes, and design clarifications
- Partner across engineering, construction, and commissioning to resolve technical issues
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, project requirements, and applicable codes
- Provide leadership updates on progress, risks, and decisions needed
- Facilitate coordination across Pre-Construction, Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Operations, Procurement, and Supply Chain
- Support closeout (e.g., punch list completion and operational readiness)
- Travel up to 30% as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
- 7+ years managing construction or infrastructure projects
- Experience delivering projects from pre-construction through handover
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, milestones, and field execution
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, and change orders
- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore, or Smartsheet
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Data center or mission-critical construction experience
- Hyperscale or large-scale infrastructure delivery
- Familiarity with commissioning and integrated systems testing
- PMP certification
