Role: Technical Program Manager, Compliance

The Compliance Product Strategy & Programs team at Coinbase is looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead strategic, cross-functional compliance initiatives. You’ll own large-scale programs that are crypto-focused and technical, coordinating across multiple teams to drive roadmap delivery and operational adoption.

What you’ll be doing

Lead large-scale cross-functional programs that are crypto-focused, technical, and Compliance-related
Partner with internal and external stakeholders including Product, Engineering, Data Science, Legal, Compliance, Customer Experience, Enterprise Technology, and International Operations
Define cross-functional business objectives, align teams, and execute through design and technical implementation
Own roadmap delivery, including adoption and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
Plan, scope, resource, coordinate, and communicate status across multiple product workstreams
Create and support program deliverables such as program plans, quarterly objectives, BRDs, PRDs, TDDs, product launch approvals, and incident statusing
Support the Compliance incident management process and ensure issues are documented, tracked, and resolved per compliance policies
Monitor program status, identify risks/issues, communicate clearly, and drive timely resolution
Work closely with product and engineering throughout the product development lifecycle to remove blockers and balance functionality vs. user experience

What we look for in you

6+ years as a Technical Program Manager for consumer products across domains such as product, engineering, business operations, or strategy
Experience balancing product and business priorities with operational requirements
Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and/or product operations
Analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose complex issues and compliance exposures
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to solve for tradeoffs between operational requirements and user experience
Ability to identify and resolve technical and functional risks/issues
Ability to adapt quickly as program needs evolve while navigating Coinbase teams across Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and CX

Additional notes

In-person participation is required throughout the year (remote-first, but not remote-only).
Team/company offsites are held multiple times annually for alignment and collaboration.
