Technical Program Manager

Role Overview

As a Technical Program Manager on Coinbase’s Enterprise Applications and Architecture (EAA) team, you’ll own access operations and permissions governance for an internal CX customer administration platform used by CX, Legal, Compliance, and other teams.

Responsibilities

• Own access operations end-to-end, including:
  • Group administration
  • Role and persona mapping
  • Approval routing
  • Access triage for internal teams
• Drive security remediation toward least-privilege access using RBAC controls and risk mitigation for high-risk access.
• Partner with product and engineering to translate feature launches into:
  • Permission models
  • Entitlement updates
  • Operational readiness plans
• Author and maintain runbooks, access matrices, and support documentation to enable internal self-service and reduce repeat requests.
• Identify tooling and process gaps in access operations and convert them into scoped engineering/operational work items with measurable targets.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years in technical program/project management for internal tools, access management, or platform operations.
• Experience designing/administering Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) models, including LDAP or comparable identity/entitlement frameworks.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functionally across engineering, security, and business teams.
• Experience writing/maintaining technical documentation (e.g., runbooks, access matrices, operational guides).
• Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
