Technical Program Manager supporting projects for the U.S. Space Force. The role is remote, with a preference for Colorado Springs, CO.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the primary point of contact for the government customer; lead program execution, communications, and delivery across phases.
- Own and manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) (development, maintenance, and schedule baselines) and ensure alignment across technical teams, subcontractors, and customer milestones.
- Develop, maintain, and control the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and program baselines, ensuring traceability between scope, schedule, cost, and deliverables.
- Manage end-to-end execution from the PWS baseline through task order delivery, meeting cost, schedule, technical, and quality objectives.
- Lead/oversee architecture and delivery of satellite ground system software, including:
- mission planning
- integration & test
- modeling/simulation frameworks
- satellite operations
- Plan and execute Agile development (sprint planning, backlog prioritization, increment planning) aligned to IMS-driven milestones.
- Coordinate program controls: cost forecasting, schedule performance tracking, earned value (as applicable), risk/opportunity management, and change control.
- Ensure compliance with program/contract requirements including milestone reviews, systems engineering processes, cybersecurity (e.g., RMF), and configuration/change management and data deliverables.
- Forecast customer needs and develop/coordinate task order execution plans aligned with customer priorities and funding.
- Support (and as needed lead) pre-RFP/pre-award capture, including solution shaping, technical strategy, ROM inputs, basis of estimate support, risk identification, transition planning, and proposal execution.
- Direct and integrate work across multiple technical domains and Agile teams (development, modeling, systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, operations, etc.).
- Identify and manage technical/schedule/program risks with data-driven recommendations and early indicators to leadership and the customer.
- Collaborate with stakeholders by running demonstrations, planning sessions, and reviews.
- Support system design and delivery decisions with knowledge of space domain operations, ground enterprise architecture, and mission needs.
- Oversee staffing, resource allocation, risk management, and performance tracking across workstreams.
- Provide regular progress reporting: status briefings, milestone documentation, and deliverable submissions.
- Promote disciplined program management practices and continuous improvement.
What the Team Requires
- U.S. citizenship
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business management, or related field (posting cuts off after this line)
