About the role
Role Overview
Netflix is hiring a Technical Program Manager (TPM) 6 – Data Systems for the Streaming & Discovery Foundations organization. You will lead large-scale, cross-functional programs that span the full data lifecycle across multiple teams, surfaces, and business domains.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end data programs across teams: define milestones, scope, sequencing, and manage commitments while adapting as learning occurs.
- Navigate deep technical and organizational complexity in Netflix’s data ecosystem; ensure the right stakeholders are engaged and decisions remain pragmatic.
- Bring clarity to ambiguity using lightweight structure, clear communication, and simple mechanisms (without over-engineering process).
- Transform data platforms and practices while maintaining business continuity—balancing reliability, migrations, and innovation (“change the engine in flight”).
- Collaborate with partners across multiple business verticals to build alignment and strong working relationships.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of technical program leadership experience in large, complex organizations.
- Track record driving multi-team programs across engineering domains, including large-scale, high-volume data systems.
- Strong ability to discuss technical trade-offs without writing code.
- Experience with data engineering and data pipelines; familiarity with client UI engineering and data platform developer experience.
- Comfortable operating at both strategic direction and hands-on details; drives accountability through clarity and relationships.
- Demonstrated ownership of outcomes and execution despite ambiguity or cross-functional friction.

- Ability to leverage GenAI tools to accelerate program work.
- Curiosity about how GenAI is reshaping technical program execution.

Compensation
- Annual salary range: $420,000 – $630,000 (varies by location). No bonuses; compensation can be split between salary and stock options.
