About the role
Role Overview
The Technical Product Owner will serve as a key bridge between Data Engineering teams and business stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery of data engineering initiatives for digital products.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main liaison between Data Engineering teams and business stakeholders.
- Manage and prioritize the data engineering product backlog aligned to organizational objectives.
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria; lead refinement sessions and sprint planning.
- Run Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Use data and AI tools to analyze issues, optimize workflows, and maintain quality in product artifacts.
Requirements
- Proven experience with stakeholder management and product backlog management in an Agile environment.
- Strong documentation and ability to communicate complex technical requirements clearly.
- Proficiency with SQL and data engineering concepts.
- Experience with data engineering technologies such as:
- Azure SQL
- Azure Data Factory
- SSIS
- Azure Data Lake
- Familiarity with Microsoft tech stack and data delivery tools (preferred).
- Demonstrated delivery experience for technical products.
Contract Details / Benefits
- Fully remote with flexible hours.
- 6-month contract to hire.
- Pay rate: $60–68/hr, annualized to ~$135,000 + 10% STIP.
