Technical Product Owner - Data

Role Overview

Technical Product Owner – Data for a Global Data Engineering and Business Intelligence team. You will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring data and BI solutions are correctly defined, delivered, tested, and adopted to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
• Create source-to-target mapping documentation for data integration initiatives
• Build mockups, prototypes, and solution designs to support delivery
• Partner with Data Engineering and BI teams throughout the development lifecycle
• Validate and test solutions to ensure alignment with requirements
• Support training, knowledge transfer, and user adoption
• Manage stakeholder expectations and drive cross-functional alignment
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, data access, and related processes

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in business analysis, data product ownership, BI, or data engineering environments
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
• Experience with data modeling, ETL, and source-to-target mapping
• Hands-on experience with BI tools (especially Power BI)
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
• Experience working in Agile environments and using project management tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience acting as a liaison between business and technical teams
• Experience creating prototypes/wireframes/solution mockups
• Exposure to enterprise reporting and data transformation initiatives

Location & Contract

• Charlotte, NC (28217) or Remote (EST hours required)
• 6+ month W2 contract (No C2C or sponsorship available)
