About the role

Role Overview

As a Technical Product Manager at Clarus, you will shape the future of pet insurance technology by delivering customer-centric product initiatives from concept through launch. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Design, Operations, and Marketing to improve outcomes for veterinary teams, pet parents, and industry partners.

Responsibilities

Product execution & delivery: Execute product roadmaps with the Director of Product to ensure timely feature delivery.
Customer & market insights: Conduct user research, gather customer feedback, and analyze market trends to guide product decisions.
Product requirements: Translate business needs into clear requirements for design and engineering teams.
Backlog management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog across short-term deliverables and long-term strategy.
Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with engineering, UI design, marketing, and customer success for smooth development and launches.
Quality & performance monitoring: Support testing/QA and post-launch analysis.
Go-to-market support: Assist with product documentation, training materials, and internal communications.

Requirements

3+ years product management experience (ideally B2B SaaS, insurance tech, or related digital platforms)
5+ years professional experience
Experience launching new commercial products/features
Strong communication and cross-team negotiation skills
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., ADO, Jira, Aha!)
Analytical mindset using data to inform decisions
Technical aptitude and comfort working with engineers daily
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience), or Associate’s degree in a technical field, or relevant certifications

Preferred Qualifications

Insurance industry experience (P&C, life, health, or embedded insurance)
Pet health or pet insurance experience
Familiarity with APIs, digital transformation, or InsurTech platforms
