About the role

Role Overview

Technical Lead / Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with a 60/40 split between hands-on engineering leadership and business systems analysis. You will architect scalable full-stack web platforms using React, Node.js, and AWS, while partnering with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Development (60%)

Architect and guide full-stack design and implementation using React, Node.js, and AWS
Lead hands-on engineering for:
- Front-end apps (TypeScript/React)
- Backend microservices (Node.js/Express/Serverless)
Own infrastructure & delivery:
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions
- Leverage AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, and API Gateway
Ensure data integrity & performance:
- Design relational database solutions using PostgreSQL/MySQL
- Optimize complex PL/SQL queries
Quality & mentorship:
- Run code reviews, enforce coding standards
- Mentor engineers via technical coaching and 1:1s

Business Systems Analysis (40%)

Requirements translation: elicit, analyze, and document business requirements into actionable technical solutions
Roadmap definition: help define the technical roadmap and ensure it aligns with long-term business goals
Stakeholder management: act as the primary technical liaison for non-technical teams, explaining constraints and opportunities
Process improvement: champion Agile/Scrum practices to improve delivery cycles and business alignment
Data collaboration: work with data teams to integrate analytics/reporting into the core platform

Required Skills & Qualifications

10+ years software development experience
3–4+ years in a leadership or hybrid BSA capacity
Expert-level React, Node.js, TypeScript, and RESTful API design
Strong AWS Cloud and serverless architecture experience
CI/CD automation experience
Deep expertise in PL/SQL and relational DB performance tuning
Strong communication skills to translate between business and technical language
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with microservices and AWS service integration (Lambda/ECS/API Gateway) is implied as core to the role
