Role overview

As Technical Lead, Product Engineering at Chronograph, you will lead and deliver projects from concept to production. You’ll set core technical direction while partnering closely with product managers and designers to build high-impact software for private capital market clients.

Responsibilities

Own and lead technical projects from ideation through execution, including:
- technical decisions and architectural design
- data structures and development approach
Collaborate with engineering, product, and design to architect high-performance, user-centric features.
Champion platform reliability and data integrity while maintaining strong development velocity.
Mentor engineers across levels, with opportunities to grow into direct people management.
Identify and adopt new technologies and best practices to continuously improve the platform.
Balance technical solutions with business outcomes through thoughtful tradeoffs.

Requirements

9+ years of professional development experience, with a track record of leading complex technical projects.
Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL (especially schema and API design).
Fluency in frontend frameworks and patterns, including React and React Query.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and design solutions considering cross-system implications (data models, validations, application logic, and user workflows).
Strong leadership and communication skills; able to drive consensus and explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have

Experience implementing/extending modern JavaScript libraries, e.g., SpreadJS, HyperFormula.
