About the role
Role Overview
Technical Lead Engineer (Owner) to lead and own architecture and development decisions across Atticus’s institutional and consumer products. You’ll work closely with founding product and development teams to deliver new consumer-facing ideas, features, APIs, and platform infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead and own product architecture and development decisions
- Spend 80–95% of time hands-on coding
- Define and execute product adoption strategy and roadmap
- Collaborate across engineering, design, domain, and customer-facing teams
- Help resolve defects from QA → pre-production → production and post-release patches
- Understand customer needs via product team/customer/sales input and market feedback
- Define and drive product KPIs; communicate progress weekly
- Drive product development lifecycle for card features
- Participate in requirements discussions (problem, impact, and solution approach)
- Evaluate market alternatives and platform capabilities to validate direction
- Document and communicate product capabilities internally and externally
Requirements
- Senior full-stack developer with experience delivering user stories end-to-end
- Strong product-minded approach: prioritize and build features around user experience
- Ability to fix bugs and participate in design discussions
- Scalability and maintainability mindset
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary product teams (developers, designers, product owners)
- Willingness to improve standards via code reviews, pair programming, and process improvement
- Enjoys mentoring and succeeding as a team
Nice-to-Haves / Experience Areas
- Front-end JavaScript frameworks: React, Vue, or Angular
- TypeScript; ES6
- Database design with MySQL and familiarity with relational/graph concepts
- Building REST endpoints
- UI frameworks such as Material-UI or Bootstrap
- Automated testing (listed: Jest, and likely more—text truncates)
