Technical Engineering Manager | COB Product

Role Overview

Technical Engineering Manager for a greenfield COB product within a Technical Services environment. You’ll lead the architecture and delivery of systems that combine data and AI-enabled capabilities, aligning engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and technical roadmap for CORA
• Conduct code reviews and maintain high coding standards
• Hire and develop a team of 5–6 engineers
• Establish engineering standards for a greenfield product
• Guide the design of core systems and AI solutions
• Drive platform decisions with a focus on extensibility and security
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver against project objectives and deliverables

Requirements

• 3+ years in technical leadership / engineering management
• 8+ years building production backend services and applications
• Hands-on experience with microservices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Scala, or Rust
• Experience hiring and managing engineering teams
• Strong communication skills for technical and executive audiences
• Ability to resolve ambiguous problems with measurable outcomes

• Experience specifically delivering data/AI-enabled product capabilities
• Demonstrated success influencing architecture and execution quality

Location & Compensation

• Remote (US-based only); no visa sponsorship
• Compensation: $225,000 – $260,000 annually
