Technical Design Lead

Role overview

Technical Design Lead / Design Manager (IC) — owner-side technical design authority across mechanical (M) and electrical (E) scopes for data center projects as they move from planning into execution. This is a hands-on, high-influence role with central coordination responsibility, reporting directly to the VP.

Responsibilities

• Own design direction across both mechanical and electrical disciplines on the owner side
• Guide, challenge, and steer external consultants to ensure best-in-class delivery
• Provide system-level technical input through planning, design coordination, and build
• Bring a forward-looking view on data center design trends over the next 12–18 months
• Act as the central design point of coordination, reporting to the VP

Requirements

• Strong data center experience with credibility across both mechanical and electrical
• Background on the owner/developer-side or consulting with true design-side exposure
• Ability to articulate current best-practice design and future market evolution
• Highly self-sufficient; thrives with autonomy, ambiguity, and minimal bureaucracy
