About the role
Role overview
The Technical Delivery Manager is a project-based contractor role supporting Clay’s enterprise web projects. You’ll act as a bridge between Clay’s development team and enterprise client stakeholders, translating technical decisions, coordinating technical discussions, and ensuring delivery/compliance requirements are met.
What you will do
- Represent Clay in enterprise client calls on topics including:
- deployment, integrations, performance
- security, compliance, and infrastructure
- Serve as the liaison between client stakeholders and Clay’s engineering team.
- Create and maintain client-facing technical documentation, such as:
- implementation approaches
- platform recommendations and technical requirements
- integration overviews
- Review technical documentation prior to client delivery and flag gaps, inconsistencies, or missing info.
- Answer client questions on security, analytics, integrations, hosting, and platform capabilities.
- Evaluate and document technology platform recommendations, including CMS selection and migration considerations.
- Support planning for SSO, identity management, hosting infrastructure, and deployment.
- Facilitate release planning and coordinate between stakeholders and the development team.
- Conduct post-launch reviews, producing supporting reports and documentation.
- Support analytics, privacy, and localization initiatives by gathering requirements, validating implementations, and coordinating with internal/client teams.
Requirements
- Experience as a technical point of contact between clients and engineering/delivery teams.
- Proven ability to lead technical discussions with enterprise stakeholders.
- Ability to create clear, structured, professional client-facing technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of modern web platforms and architectures, especially Next.js/React.
- Familiarity with headless CMS and website migration work (e.g., Sanity).
- Experience with analytics/tag management tools (e.g., GA4, GTM, Heap).
- Understanding of technical SEO, performance validation, and post-launch support.
- Familiarity with privacy/consent management solutions (e.g., OneTrust).
- Knowledge of hosting, CDNs, third-party integrations, and authentication/SSO (e.g., Okta, Azure AD).
- Strong attention to detail and risk awareness (identify issues before they become blockers).
- Native/work-proficient English (written and spoken).
Nice to have
- Experience in an agency environment (design or development).
- Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards.
- Experience with enterprise CMS, e-commerce, ticketing, or CRM platforms.
- Familiarity with technical SEO concepts or enterprise SEO/performance monitoring tools.
Working model
- Remote, project-based.
- Requires US time zone overlap.
