Role overview
Join Salesforce as a Cloud Technical Architect (Pre-Sales, All Levels). You will support sales teams by using your technical and industry expertise to craft customer-aligned value propositions and architecture recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Support sales teams in developing Salesforce value propositions aligned with customers’ business strategies
- Determine which Salesforce and third-party technologies to use in customer-driven architectures
- Lead key discussions and considerations around change programs from both business and technical perspectives
- Help develop go-to-market strategies
- Deliver best practices and participate in educational sessions
- Serve as a subject matter expert across areas such as application architecture and cloud computing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (CS, MIS, Software Engineering, EE, Data Science, etc.) or equivalent experience (graduate study is a plus)
- Strategic problem-solving skills and confidence communicating with executive audiences
- Strong foundation in:
- Integration principles and tools
- Application lifecycle management
- Database and data management fundamentals
- Enterprise data management tools and methods
- Web and mobile application development and architecture
- Security fundamentals (network/application/information security)
- Process orchestration
- Ability to translate business and IT requirements into compelling solutions and present recommendations to executive, technical, and business stakeholders
- Some coding experience and willingness to work with code (e.g., Apex, Node.js, Go, R, Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, Ruby)
- Hands-on experience building, implementing, administering, or maintaining enterprise software (e.g., software engineer, integration architect, implementation architect, etc.)
- Customer-facing architect/solution engineer/IT consultant/developer experience delivering differentiated technology solutions
- Ability to support multiple concurrent projects and manage time effectively
- Domestic travel willingness
- Knowledge of risk mitigation, compliance, and security
Nice to have
- Design thinking and persona-based discovery / other innovation techniques
- Proven experience in a specific industry/vertical/market segment
- Knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including Salesforce Certifications and/or Trailhead Superbadges
