Talent Strategist II

Role Overview

Join GitHub’s Talent Acquisition team as a Talent Strategist II, partnering with business leaders to identify hiring needs and design recruiting strategies. You’ll drive sourcing and pipeline strategy, align recruiting to both immediate demand and long-term talent priorities, and advise stakeholders on best practices across the hiring lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Stakeholder/Client Engagement

• Identify differentiated/alternative talent types (e.g., diverse, nontraditional) and recommend options to business leaders
• Determine current and future talent needs through market and demand analysis
• Help consult leaders on creating roles to attract desired talent

Candidate Attraction

• Generate interest using storytelling and contribute to creation of recruiting content
• Spread awareness via community outreach and strategic networking
• Implement best practices for sourcing, recruiting, and closing
• Track candidate activity and share updates with internal stakeholders

Talent Sourcing/Pipelining

• Use talent market knowledge and candidate profiling to build and engage targeted talent pools
• Develop strategies for differentiated talent in emerging or highly competitive areas

Candidate Assessment & Screening

• Perform initial screening and candidate assessment
• Qualify talent pools considering hiring likelihood, relocation/immigration, and compensation

Operational Compliance & Excellence

• Maintain accurate candidate documentation in recruiting/tracking systems within compliance guidelines
• Capture recruiting data and perform analyses to generate actionable insights

Market Analysis & Insights

• Analyze external market data and provide insights to inform hiring plans and talent strategies
• Use insights to craft and deliver tailored sourcing strategies (including location, availability, compensation, and diversity)

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years experience in talent acquisition, human resources, or related field OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, (additional details truncated)
