About the role

Role Overview

Talent Lead at Agave, responsible for scaling hiring significantly over the next year. You’ll own recruiting processes and help ensure Agave maintains a top-tier talent bar while growing the team.

Responsibilities

Sourcing: Source candidates from schools, industries, and networks where strong talent clusters.
Hiring & planning: Support company-wide hiring goals for both technical and non-technical roles.
Job content: Help plan, create, and release job descriptions and hiring announcements.
Recruiting innovation: Develop creative approaches to short-circuit traditional hiring methods and gain an edge.
Partner management: Work with external recruiting partners to extend and leverage the hiring network.
Screening: Screen candidates for motivation, preferences, and role fit.
Pipeline management: Convert candidates efficiently with a thoughtful, personal touch.
Closing: Coordinate and assist with closing candidates working alongside co-founders and hiring managers.
Logistics: Coordinate recruiting logistics, including on-site interviews.
Process improvement: Optimize recruiting tools, processes, and systems for efficiency.

Requirements

Experience recruiting or leading recruiting work for technical roles and non-technical roles.
Ability to screen and evaluate candidate motivation and fit.
Strong coordination skills across stakeholders (co-founders, hiring managers, recruiters).

Nice-to-haves

Track record scaling recruiting rapidly to meet aggressive hiring goals.
Demonstrated ability to innovate in sourcing and pipeline conversion.
