About the role

Role Overview

Talent Acquisition (Recruiting) Specialist responsible for end-to-end recruiting for hourly and salaried manufacturing roles for the Long Prairie, MN facility. The role partners with facility/plant leadership to assess hiring needs and execute short- and long-term staffing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers and operational leadership to understand hiring needs and develop recruiting strategies aligned with company values and culture
  • Lead the full recruitment lifecycle: proactive sourcing, screening, selection, interviewing, offer management, pre-employment screening, and onboarding
  • Drive recruiting best practices; continuously optimize processes to improve efficiency and candidate experience
  • Coordinate and/or attend onsite and offsite job fairs
  • Use social media and other channels (colleges, trade schools, local publications) to attract candidates
  • Collaborate with VP of HR on national search and marketing strategies to strengthen employer brand and candidate experience
  • Track and achieve hiring goals using data-driven insights; establish and monitor recruiting KPIs and metrics
  • Maintain recruiting reports (e.g., production staffing, interview activity, rehires)
  • Ensure exceptional candidate experience through initial contact to onboarding and new-hire orientation
  • Partner with HR to coordinate new-hire benefits such as housing/lodging as needed
  • Serve as a company advocate by building relationships with agencies and education/employment partners to identify new talent
  • Develop and maintain a 90-Day Recruiting Plan (events, targets, campaigns, KPIs) approved by VP of HR and VP of Operations
  • Use iCIMS to manage job postings and candidate/applicant data throughout the hiring process
  • Stay current on recruiting trends and implement innovations to improve recruiting outcomes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience for hourly (non-exempt) manufacturing roles
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred)
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish and/or Haitian-Creole (speaking/reading/writing)
  • Prior experience in high-volume recruiting in beef/protein/food manufacturing
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Previous experience using iCIMS
  • Strong accountability, professionalism, and ability to work with minimal direction
