About the role

Role Overview

As a Talent Acquisition (Recruiting) Specialist, you will align recruitment processes with organizational goals and lead full-cycle hiring for hourly and salaried manufacturing roles. You will partner closely with facility/plant leadership to identify hiring needs and execute short- and long-term staffing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers and operational leadership to assess hiring needs and build recruiting strategies aligned with company culture.
  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle, including:
    • Proactive sourcing
    • Screening, selecting, and interviewing
    • Offer management
    • Pre-employment screening and onboarding support
  • Drive recruiting best practices to continuously improve efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Coordinate/attend job fairs (off-site and on-site).
  • Use social media and other channels to attract candidates (e.g., local colleges, trade schools, publications).
  • Collaborate with the VP of HR to develop and align national search and marketing strategies.
  • Track and achieve hiring goals using clear expectations, progress tracking, and data-driven insights.
  • Lead recruiting data and reporting:
    • Establish and monitor recruiting metrics (KPIs)
    • Maintain recruiting reports (e.g., production staffing, interviews, rehires)
  • Maintain a 90-Day Recruiting Plan approved by VP of HR and VP of Operations, including targets, campaigns, events, and KPIs.
  • Use iCIMS to manage job postings and candidate/applicant data for the full hiring process.
  • Research and build relationships with agencies and schools to identify talent.
  • Coordinate HR activities for new hire benefits such as housing/lodging as needed.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience through onboarding and new-hire orientation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience for hourly (non-exempt) manufacturing roles.
  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish and/or Haitian-Creole (speaking, reading, and writing) (bi-lingual preferred).
  • Prior high-volume recruiting experience in beef/protein/food manufacturing.
  • Current knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience using iCIMS applicant tracking system.
  • Strong communication, professional conduct, accountability, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Self-starter able to multi-task, prioritize, and work with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Effective negotiating skills.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
  • Bilingual capability beyond English (Spanish and/or Haitian-Creole).
