Talent Acquisition Specialist

Role Overview

GAI Consultants is hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join its Talent Acquisition team. The role focuses on sourcing and attracting top technical talent in the planning, engineering, and environmental consulting sectors.

Responsibilities

• Source candidates using social media, niche job boards, and professional networks
• Use advanced Boolean search and industry-specific tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter) to identify qualified candidates
• Research market conditions and industry trends to refine sourcing strategies
• Partner with hiring managers and leadership to understand needs and tailor recruiting approaches for hard-to-fill roles
• Manage candidate screening and interviewing, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers
• Maintain data integrity in the applicant tracking system
• Conduct extensive social media data mining and promote GAI’s employer brand via online forums and social networks
• Support recruitment events and represent the company at industry functions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
• 5+ years recruiting experience, specifically sourcing technical talent for areas such as transportation engineering, water/wastewater, land development, or similar disciplines
• Proven ability using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools

Preferred Qualifications

• 5–10 years experience in planning, engineering, and environmental consulting
• HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR
• Strong ability to develop and execute research and sourcing strategies for critical roles
