About the role

Tableau Data Visualization Engineer

Contract (6 months), Full-Time, Remote

Join a multi-year Data & Analytics Transformation Program to modernize enterprise analytics capabilities. You will build high-quality Tableau dashboards and visual analytics solutions that help users adopt a cloud-based analytics platform and make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

Design and develop Tableau visualizations that communicate stories around data, KPIs, and OKRs.
Create, deploy, and maintain Tableau reports and dashboards for business performance insights.
Build and maintain complex Tableau data models, integrating data from multiple sources.
Use SQL to extract, manipulate, validate data to support unit testing, troubleshooting, and dashboard/report quality.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Analytics Solution Engineers to translate requirements into BI solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot dashboard issues and data refresh schedules to ensure consistent performance.
Implement security measures and enforce role-based access so data is available to the right audiences.
Continuously improve usability, interactivity, and performance of reports.
Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau usage.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years experience with Tableau (data visualization tools exclusively with Tableau).
5+ years experience as a BI Visualization Engineer or similar role using Tableau.
Proficiency with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep.
Experience with Tableau Cloud / Tableau+ (cloud-native BI tools) preferred/required as stated.
Solid understanding of database management and ETL processes.
Experience with BI governance best practices.
Agile development practices.

Preferred (Not Required)

Cloud-native BI architecture.
UI/UX design practices.
Workers comp insurance industry experience.
SAFe experience is a plus.

Contract/Work Authorization Notes

6-month contract; Remote (Full-Time).
No sponsorship: needs an independent visa holder and must work W2/1099/C2C with own corp.
