System Event Manager

Role Overview

Wing is seeking a System Event Manager for the System Event Management organization. This is a remote-based role in the United States, acting as a centralized function that supports Wing’s engineering and operations teams during critical incidents.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional incidents by orchestrating response efforts, making real-time decisions, and coordinating stakeholders to resolve issues safely and efficiently.
• Triage and investigate reported issues to determine impacted systems and coordinate appropriate teams.
• Document incident response actions and the basis for resolution using incident management tools.
• Capture incident outcomes and lessons learned, and help support documentation of standard solutions.
• Recommend procedural improvements and enhancements based on incident learnings.
• Help create and maintain incident management policies, procedures, and related documentation.
• Define tooling requirements for incident management.
• Create and deliver training materials for incident management processes.
• Support tracking and closeout of investigations and incident reports.
• Travel between Wing sites as needed.

Requirements

• 3–6+ years managing incidents, including experience as Incident Commander or lead responder for high-severity, cross-functional incidents in complex operational environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to process multiple information streams in real time under pressure.
• Excellent communication: provide accurate, actionable, timely updates to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives.
• Ability to coordinate across engineering, operations, and regulatory affairs.
• Capability to direct teams in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines with attention to detail.
• Experience with program management and operations process development, including emergency/incident response.
