System Engineer/DevOps - Senior

Role Overview

SOFTSWISS is hiring a System Engineer / DevOps (Senior) to design, automate, and maintain scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines. The goal is to ensure stable, secure, high-performing environments across products and services.

Responsibilities

• Design, automate, and evolve infrastructure and delivery processes for reliable system operations
• Enable development teams to deploy, monitor, and operate services smoothly
• Build and maintain infrastructure automation for internal Kubernetes-based application platforms
• Develop and maintain reusable Helm charts for application teams
• Build and operate CI/CD components (e.g., GitLab CI templates, shared pipelines, pipeline scripts)
• Provide documentation and developer guardrails
• Collaborate closely with Python engineers on runtime debugging, packaging, and dependency management

Requirements

• 3+ years as a System Engineer / SRE / DevOps / Platform Engineering
• Strong understanding of Linux-like operating systems (administration and troubleshooting)
• Experience with configuration management (Ansible / SaltStack / Terraform / Pulumi)
• Strong Kubernetes experience (deployment patterns, networking, storage, autoscaling, troubleshooting)
• Experience with CI/CD components and pipeline development (GitLab CI)
• Shell scripting / Python experience
• Monitoring experience with Prometheus stack and/or Zabbix
• English level B2+

Nice to Have

• Observability: Datadog, Prom/VM, OpenTelemetry
• Experience operating RAG systems and vector databases (e.g., pgvector, Milvus, Qdrant, Weaviate, Pinecone)
• Domain management (e.g., Cloudflare, Route53)
• GPU workloads/model serving (e.g., KServe, Ray Serve, Triton)
• Go experience
• Experience using AI-powered tools/platforms to optimize workflows
• Log aggregation (e.g., ELK/EFK stack)
