SW Test Development Engineer 1

Role overview

Software Test Development Engineer I on the V&V (Validation and Verification) team within Dexcom Research & Development. You’ll help advance software test frameworks and tools that enable automation best practices across Dexcom CGM product validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated backend and UI test solutions for web-based applications
• Design and implement APIs and service endpoints to support automated updates to web portals, notifications, reporting, and documentation generation
• Build integrations with enterprise tools to streamline workflows and automate data transfer, including:
  • Jira, TestRail, Slack, GitHub, Datadog
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and continuous process improvement
• Measure and track automation effectiveness using ROI and quality metrics
• Collaborate with Software Development, QA, Product Management/Product Owners, and Regulatory teams to define scope and deliver high-quality solutions
• Contribute to enhancement of validation frameworks and testing infrastructure for Dexcom’s software portfolio

Requirements

• Programming experience in object-oriented languages, preferably Python
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites for web applications
• Proficiency integrating tools such as Jira, TestRail, GitHub, databases, web portals, and cloud-based services
• Experience running automated testing in CI/CD, including Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• Working knowledge of AWS or GCP (compute, storage, authentication, and application deployment)
• Strong problem-solving skills and drive to improve efficiency through automation
• Effective communication and collaboration with both technical and non-technical teams
