Role Overview

SVP of Engineering & Product (Remote, US)

• Lead the company’s R&D function, managing Engineering and Product teams.
• Report to the CEO and own the technology and product direction.
• Hands-on leadership: be deeply involved in modernization, re-architecture, and development.

What You’ll Do

R&D Leadership

• Define and execute the technology and product vision, aligning to business goals.
• Lead platform modernization across frontend and backend, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to drive Workzone as a productivity and collaboration enabler for critical industries.
• Build a culture of rapid, iterative innovation, treating emerging technologies (e.g., AI) as opportunities to improve user impact.

Platform Innovation

• Develop next-gen product offerings that are:
  • Integrated: unify workflows via integrations and connected systems.
  • Intelligent: AI-enabled smart digital assistants with agents, automated workflows, and insights.
  • Intuitive: adaptive project management experiences across agile, waterfall, or hybrid preferences.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading Engineering & Product teams through end-to-end platform modernization.
• Hands-on capability: led strategy, re-architecture, and development, and worked “in the weeds” with the team.
• Solid development/engineering prowess (hands-on technical leadership is a must-have).
• Comfortable evaluating and testing emerging AI and cloud technologies (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS, Google, Microsoft).
• Motivated by applying technology for real-world outcomes for community-centric organizations.

Nice-to-Haves / Additional Fit

• More suited for an Engineering leader with some Product leadership experience (not primarily a Product leader who later moves into Engineering).

Compensation

• $180,000–$200,000 base salary plus performance pay and equity.
