SVP General Counsel

Role Overview

As Senior Vice President & General Counsel at Arcadia, you will serve as the senior-most legal authority and architect a legal function that supports business growth. You will partner closely with the CEO and Board, lead key M&A integration work streams, and help foster a compliant yet innovative workplace.

Key Missions

• Architect the legal function to enable high-velocity sales and business growth.
• Negotiate high-stakes deals including SaaS contracts, IP licensing, and other technology transactions.
• Provide legal leadership across future fundraising, acquisitions, and critical partnerships.

Responsibilities / Scope

• Lead complex legal work streams through the full M&A lifecycle, including legal due diligence and execution.
• Support employee relations with a strategic approach aligned with organizational change.
• Lead legal operations for significant international operations, including coordination with an international team across multiple time zones.

Requirements

• J.D. with strong academic credentials; state bar member in good standing in a state where Arcadia does business.
• 15+ years of legal practice, including in-house counsel success and/or top law firm experience.
• Proven ability as General Counsel or senior legal leader in a high-growth SaaS/tech environment.
• Experience leading a company through an IPO/direct listing (preferred).
• Strong commercial mindset: translate complex legal issues into streamlined, actionable advice for fast-paced teams.
• Strong ethics, judgment, and ability to manage competing deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Deep familiarity with employment law and employment/HR legal nuances during change.

Nice to Have

• Energy regulatory or utility experience.
• Experience in venture-funded high-growth SaaS startups.
• Experience leading a globally distributed team across multiple countries.
• Background handling international operations, including coordination with a large Indian subsidiary.
