Role: Supplier Network Manager (m/w/d)

You will help steer a dynamic manufacturing and supplier network using a modern, data-driven platform approach rather than a rigid corporate procurement model.

What you’ll do

• Explore new sourcing regions outside China (e.g., Nearshoring, Friendshoring, and building a US manufacturing network)
• Actively source high-performing manufacturing partners for complex drawings-based parts
• Conduct remote evaluations of new partners (engineering capability, machinery/fleet, certifications, tolerances)
• Negotiate framework agreements and build long-term supplier relationships
• Monitor partner-network KPIs, including escalation and offboarding
• Prepare partner data for an internal machine-learning matching system

Requirements

• Strong technical understanding: read technical drawings and assess manufacturing processes such as CNC, casting, and forging
• Experience in international market entry and sourcing (e.g., customs, logistics, local specifics)
• Negotiation strength in German and English, including handling complex supplier contracts (e.g., NDA, QSV)
• Analytical mindset using Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) instead of only part prices
• High IT/data affinity: dashboards and structured supplier data for ML matching
• Bonus/ideal profile: background as Industrial Engineer (Wirtschaftsingenieur) or Technical Business Administrator (technischer Kaufmann)
• Bonus: existing international procurement network and lead potential
