Role overview

Join the Intercept team (Stripe public goods initiative) as a strategic, execution-oriented operator on air cleaning technologies (ACTs). You’ll help catalyze the supply and demand of high-quality air cleaning products that can be deployed at scale.

Responsibilities

• Map the ACT landscape: track and evaluate commercially available and upcoming air cleaning technology across standards/quality, installation, and servicing/maintenance needs.
• Own roadmap and product targets: help build and maintain a living product roadmap and a Target Product Profile (TPP) for ACTs.
• Design and run pilots: use insights to design Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) pilots for prospective adopters; run RFPs for supplier-led pilots; execute pilots and drive scaling of capacity.
• Create enablement playbooks: support the creation of playbooks for IAQ-curious organizations to DIY IAQ improvement projects, and follow along to understand real blockers.
• Learn from stakeholders: conduct focus groups to understand how key decision-makers evaluate IAQ investments.
• Build ecosystem relationships: partner with manufacturers, installers, servicers, and others to evaluate new opportunities.
• Drive outcomes end-to-end: clarify goals and priorities, remove blockers, and improve the process so execution gets smoother over time.

Requirements / profile

• Strong bias toward getting things done (clarify, align, remove blockers, execute independently).
• Ability to translate user needs into product and process improvements.
• Comfortable working independently as an individual contributor.
• Must be able to:
  • Understand physical products and what it takes for customers to evaluate, pilot, and maintain them.
  • Zoom out to synthesize implications for long-term scale deployment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with physical products, especially HVAC / mechanical-electrical-plumbing systems and indoor air quality.
