About the role
Role Overview
Strategic Finance Manager (GTM) supporting high-growth go-to-market planning. You will shape the financial strategy for revenue growth by owning models and insights that connect sales capacity, pipeline performance, revenue targets, and investment decisions.
Responsibilities
- Own financial analysis and operational models for GTM decision-making.
- Build sales capacity and productivity models:
- headcount planning, rep ramp assumptions, quota coverage, attainment analysis, and alignment to revenue targets.
- Develop and maintain pipeline-to-ARR forecasting models using:
- pipeline coverage, conversion rates, win rates, sales cycles, and segment-level performance.
- Manage GTM unit economics and efficiency metrics:
- CAC, CAC payback, magic number, LTV-to-CAC, retention metrics, and sales efficiency analysis.
- Partner cross-functionally (Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations) to evaluate ROI on GTM investments and identify efficiency improvements.
- Support pricing and packaging analysis by assessing financial impacts and strategic opportunities.
- Create executive-level reporting, board materials, and investor-related analysis with finance leadership.
- Lead strategic scenario planning for:
- new segments, business models, pricing changes, and growth initiatives.
- Continuously improve financial models, reporting processes, and analytical frameworks to support scaling.
Requirements
- 4–7 years in strategic finance, FP&A, GTM finance/sales finance, or related analytical roles (e.g., investment banking, private equity, management consulting).
- Experience supporting high-growth software/SaaS/technology companies.
- Strong financial modeling skills (capacity planning, productivity analysis, pipeline forecasting, cohort analysis, segmentation, scenario modeling).
- Deep understanding of SaaS and GTM metrics (CAC, CAC payback, LTV-to-CAC, ARR, retention, sales efficiency, pipeline coverage).
- Experience with modern data/BI tools (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Omni or similar) and familiarity with CRM data (Salesforce).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management and influence across senior Sales/Marketing/Executive leaders.
