Strategic Finance Analyst

About the role

Join Affirm's Finance team as a Strategic Finance Analyst. In this role, you will manage financial planning, accounting, pricing, vendor management, tax, investor relations, and corporate development. You will deliver timely insights, accurate reporting, and careful analysis to support decision-making and enable sustainable growth. You will also partner with cross-functional leaders, build and maintain financial models, establish performance metrics, and design scalable dashboards and analytics. Profile: - Experience with merchant payments and/or providing analytical support to B2B client relationship and sales teams a plus - Curiosity to build things (processes, models, etc.) with/for/around AI - 2+ years experience in fast-paced analytical roles (strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, data science, analytics, etc.) - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capability to navigate cross-functional collaborations effectively and be front and center with company executives - Passion and drive to disrupt the lending and financial industry for the better - Excellent working proficiency in excel (you should be prepared for a financial model case study), and comfort with SQL, Sigma, Cursor and/or other data visualization tools; Python knowledge a plus - Strong sense of ownership, intention, intellectual curiosity, and an ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment - Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear, concise reports - High attention to detail but an equally important ability to see the big picture and evaluate analyses with strategic business context
