About the role
Role Overview

- Use qualitative and quantitative methods to produce fast, actionable insights.
- Triangulate across data sources and prior learnings to find the right signals in ambiguous, fast-moving contexts.
- Balance speed vs. rigor by delivering quick reads to unblock decisions and deeper studies when needed.
- Partner with Product, Design, Business Operations, and Data Science to shape strategy using research insights.
- Communicate persuasively with stakeholders, including senior executives.
- Create compelling narratives about users’ needs, pain points, and opportunities.
- Lead brainstorming sessions and workshops to translate insights into product direction.
Requirements
- 10+ years of UX research experience with strength in both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Experience using AI tools for user research.
- Ability to run statistical analysis, design/analyze surveys, and lead foundational qualitative studies.
- Track record of delivering impactful insights in ambiguous/early-stage environments.
- Proven ability to work with senior leadership and influence strategy.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong multi-tasking to manage multiple projects at different stages.
Bonus / Nice to Have
- Experience with 0-to-1 or incubation products.
- Familiarity with Claude Code.
- SQL skills and comfort working directly with data.
- Background in consumer products and/or hospitality.
- Degree in HCI, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience.
Location / Work Model
- US Remote Eligible, with monthly in-person working sessions at the San Francisco Airbnb office and attendance at offsites as agreed with your manager.
- Must live in a US state where Airbnb has a registered entity (excluding certain states, per the up-to-date list).
