Staff UX Designer

Staff UX Designer (Remote)

In this role, you’ll partner with Product and Engineering to create delightful, effortless experiences for health consumers. You’ll shape the Cancer and Expert Second Opinion experiences by understanding user needs, turning them into intuitive designs, and validating solutions frequently from concept to polished product.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate new experiences using mockups, wireframes, flow diagrams, sketches, and other UX artifacts
• Build concepts and create high-fidelity interactive prototypes (including leveraging AI) for mobile and web applications
• Conduct discovery research and usability tests frequently
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams (Product Managers and Engineers) to align UX work with feasibility and product strategy
• Incorporate strong visual design and contribute to/extend the design system
• Help drive team culture and overcome challenges through persistence and bias to action

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing world-class apps, with a strong portfolio
• Strong ability to perform and synthesize research (e.g., contextual inquiry)
• Excellent communication skills; can present designs and explain decisions to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Proficiency with Figma (posting lists Figma, and mentions FigmaMake)
• Strong visual design fundamentals: typography, layout, color usage
• Empathetic, self-aware, and able to lead with an optimistic mindset in ambiguity
• Preference for a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Graphic Design, HCI, UX, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Healthcare industry experience

Nice to Have

• Extreme pattern for running iterative UX discovery and prototype-driven product shaping
• Ability to design and explore ideas collaboratively, including proposing concepts not originally your own
• Experience contributing to a mature design system
