Staff Technical Program Manager

Role Overview

As a Staff Technical Program Manager at Teradata, you will drive delivery of significant, multi-team technical programs across the company’s product portfolio. You will own execution from kickoff through launch, partnering closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and track delivery for complex technical programs spanning multiple engineering teams and product areas.
• Build and maintain detailed program plans, dependency maps, risk registers, and milestone tracking dashboards.
• Facilitate cross-team coordination and decision-making (standups, program syncs, steering reviews).
• Convert technical program status into clear stakeholder updates for product leadership and senior engineering audiences.
• Identify and escalate delivery risks early; lead retrospectives to drive continuous process improvement.
• Coordinate launch readiness activities across engineering, QA, documentation, support, and go-to-market teams.
• Maintain program metrics and surface trade-off analysis to support data-driven prioritization.
• Apply foundational AI skills to explore how AI can improve productivity, innovation, and impact across the workforce.

Who You’ll Work With

• Product Managers and Principal TPMs to align delivery with roadmap commitments.
• Engineering managers, tech leads, and QA teams across Vantage, cloud services, and analytics.
• Design, Technical Writing, Support, and Marketing for end-to-end feature delivery and launch readiness.
• Finance and TA partners for program-level resourcing and onboarding coordination.

Requirements

• 6+ years technical program management experience, including 3+ years in enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, or data analytics.
• Experience managing multi-team delivery programs with 20+ engineers.
• Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), data systems, or SaaS delivery cycles.
• Hands-on experience with Agile delivery (sprint planning and program-level tracking).
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills; able to run meetings and write crisp status reports.
• Foundational AI skills to understand how AI can improve outcomes.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with data warehousing, SQL analytics, or cloud data infrastructure concepts.
• Experience coordinating programs across US and international teams (India experience a plus).
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
• Background in enterprise SaaS, B2B analytics, or open-source data ecosystem delivery.
