Staff Technical Program Manager

Role Overview

As a Staff Technical Program Manager at GoFundMe, you will drive execution and alignment across security initiatives. You’ll develop strategic roadmaps, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and improve visibility and operational effectiveness across security and engineering teams.

Key Missions / Responsibilities

• Drive execution of security programs by building structured plans, tracking deliverables, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain security roadmaps aligned with business objectives, engineering priorities, and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between security, engineering, IT, and product to embed security into business processes and the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Familiarity with security frameworks and best practices, such as NIST, CIS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 (execution-focused, not compliance ownership).
• Ability to structure complex programs, manage competing priorities, and drive alignment across technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management, including working with engineering leaders, executives, and external partners.
• Experience with roadmap development, strategic planning, and execution management in security or engineering environments.
• Experience building and tracking security KPIs and metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
• 7+ years of experience in technical program management, preferably in security, infrastructure, or cloud.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale security initiatives with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• Technical understanding of cloud security, application security, and infrastructure security.
