About the role

Role Overview

As a Staff Technical Program Manager at Affirm, you will oversee high-visibility technical programs and streamline processes for building exceptional customer and merchant products. You’ll partner closely with Product and Engineering to develop quality-focused processes and frameworks, while evaluating new technology developments.

Responsibilities

Oversee and streamline team programs for building customer/merchant products.
Drive complex, multi-disciplinary, highly visible technical programs that support the team’s mission to expand the consumer product suite.
Coordinate across engineering teams and non-engineering stakeholders throughout the full program lifecycle.
Plan requirements, identify risks, and manage program schedules to hit goals.
Track progress toward milestones and drive alignment across cross-functional partners.
Mentor and level up team members and support a remote-friendly culture.

Requirements

Strong execution mindset: detail-oriented while still able to ship on time.
Proven ability to drive complex technical programs for large technology applications.
Experience with geographically distributed backend systems.
Demonstrated stakeholder management across Engineering, Product, Design, Analytics, and other functions.
Organized, strategic collaboration approach across multi-disciplinary teams.
8+ years of proven experience managing technical programs.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Haves

Experience in FinTech, Payments, or Commerce.
